VBV Series- Vent Bleeder Valve

The Revolution has begun!

Vent Bleeder Valves are installed on the vent port of molds to bleed air from the cavity during resin infusion. Innovative Bleeding Technology provides superior control of the resin transfer process versus hand bleeding of molds, or automatic on/off valves. Vent Bleeder Valves address three molding conditions during the resin transfer process: (1) infusion, (2) venting, (3) purging.

The PATENT PENDING Valve seat Interface allows air from the mold to freely exhaust through the vent bleeder valve during injection.  Once resin has reached the vent port, fluid pressure directs remaining air bubbles to the vent.  These are bubbles are exhausted through the valve, but the resin is restricted from leaving the mold.  After injection, instead of hand purging the mold, the normally closed valve continuously bleeds any air bubbles that migrate to the vent port.

Therefore, instead of purging the mold a couple times for only a few seconds and wasting resin in the process, the purge time of the Vent Bleeder Valve can be increased to several minutes after injection, without wasting additional resin.  Resin is restricted from discharging from the mold until cavity pressure exceeds the valve cracking pressure. This prevents mold over pressurization or damage to equipment due to closed vent lines. After purging the mold can be sealed, allowing the vent to be cleaned and ready to go for the next molding cycle.

Product Features

Enhanced Part Quality

Innovative Bleeding Technology improves part air evacuation during infusion reducing production defects, scrap, and rework.

Significant Cost Savings

Valve automation and cleaning reduces the need to replace vent lines on every part, thus reducing the consumable costs, labor, and part cycle times.

Higher Competitiveness

Innovative Bleeding Technology virtually eliminates resin waste improving production efficiency at a reduced part cost.

Seamless Integration

A single air-pilot port allows the valve to be easily integrated into automated production environments.

Integral Valve Purging

A purge port and an integral seal design allows simultaneous purging of your injection system and vent bleeder valve.

Effortless Installation

Wrench-flats, industrial standard connections, and valve fitting kits allow easy installation using standard tools to common tube sizes.
